Everybody Pitches!

WIL To Have Front-Office Pitching Staff
WENATCHEE, Dec. 22, 1922—The Western International Baseball League has already set some kind of a record, five months before a baseball has been thrown in the 1953 season.
Big Dewey Soriano announced Monday that he will take a turn on the pitching mound as well as direct front-office activities for Vancouver Capilanos as general manager.
Two other general managers, Frank Dasso of Wenatchee and Bill Brenner of Lewiston, are also frequenters of the hill.
Brenner was a 12-game winner last season while Dasso set a WIL record for losses, dropping 25 games. He won eight.
[WILfan note: Soriano never pitched for Vancouver]
