CALGARY — Vancouver Capilanos out-slugged Calgary Stampeders lot a 13-11 victory here Wednesday night and a clean sweep of their Western International League twin-bill. Capilanos took the afternoon game 4-2.
Vancouver rattled 18 hits off the deliveries of three Calgary pitchers. Caps drove starter Glenn Hittner from the mound in the third inning with a barrage of hits that produced six runs.
Newcomer Bill Wisneski took over for Stamps but was driven out in the next inning when Caps plated four more runs. Bill States finished the game for Calgary.
Vancouver started former Stampeder Bob Roberts who was lifted for Dale Thomason in the fifth inning. Bud Guldborg, who won the afternoon game, came on in the seventh to hurl brilliant relief ball and preserve the victory.
Jim Wert and Don Lundberg homered for Caps while Rocky Tedesco hit one for Stamps.
Wert and Harvey Storey led Caps, each with three-for-five performances.
A three-run homer by Chuck Davis in the ninth inning of the first game gave Vancouver the victory.

EDMONTON — Edmonton Eskimos completed a sweep of a three-game Western International League baseball series here Wednesday night with a thumping 11-6 victory over Victoria Tyees before 1,493 fans.
It was John Conant's 12th victory against five setbacks. He pitched four-hit, scoreless ball for six innings, then coasted the rest of the way on a fat lead.
Clint Weaver and Andy Skurski led a 16-hit offensive against two Victoria pitchers with three blows apiece and each batted In a pair of runs.
The loss was charged to Earl Dollins, who was taken out for a pinch-hitter in the seventh. Berlyn Hodges finished up.

SPOKANE, Wash. — Salem Senators made it three wins in a row over Spokane Wednesday night by sweeping both ends of a Western International League Baseball doubleheader.
They won the seven-inning first game 11-6 with a six-run spree in the sixth inning and squeezed by in the nightcap 3-2.
Senators reached Spokane pitcher Art Worth for two runs in the first inning of the second game to take a lead they never lost.
In the first game, Spokane started off with Will Hafey's two-run homer in the first inning.
Salem tied it up in the second inning but the Indians moved ahead in the bottom of that frame as Salem starter Bob Collins loaded the bases with three singles and then walked Jimmy Brown.
Senators, however scored their winning run in the fourth on three runs that came in after two men were out.

YAKIMA, Wash.—Mel Wasley's only hit in six trips Wednesday night "brought" in the run that fave Lewiston an 11-inning, 7-6 Western International League baseball win over Yakima Bears.
John Marshall, who came in the game in the eighth as a relief pitcher, opened the final inning with a single and moved to second on a sacrifice by Al Heitz before Wasley's timely blow.
Marshall was credited with the win, which created an odd situation. He was charged with the loss Tuesday night when Yakima won, while Tom Del Sarto, Wednesday night's losing pitcher, was the winner Tuesday. Del Sarto came to the mound in the 10th.

WENATCHEE, Wash. — Tri-City defeated Wenatchee 7-4 here Wednesday night to even their current Western International League baseball series at one game piece.
Bob Snyder pitched effectively for the winners although he gave up nine hits in 7 2-3 innings and needed relief from Jess Dobernic. Wenatchee left 17 runners stranded on the bases.
Vic Buccola collected four hits in five times at bat for the Braves, while Laurie Monroe had two doubles for Wenatchee and drove in two runs.
Jake Helmuth collected the other two Wenatchee RBIs.
