LEWISTON, June 1—Calgary, number four club in the Western International Baseball League standings, put five runs across in the opening frame Monday night to drub the pace - setting Lewiston Broncs 7-1 in the only scheduled loop contest.
Don Hunter and Don Bricker of the Stampeders both swatted home runs in the first to help the Calgary cause.
After the opening frame, John Marshall took over the mound chores for Broncs and fanned 11 batters as he held Stampeders to two runs in an 8 1-3 inning relief stint.
Broncs got their only run in the sixth when Glenn Ruckett singled Larry Barton home.
