Caps Dangle Offers

Eight Players Receive 1953 Caps’ Contracts
[Vancouver Province, Feb. 3, 1953]
In what Caps’ general manager Dewey Soriano hopes was a preview of things to come, pitcher John Guldborg came up with a no-hit game in California’s winter league last week.
Guldborg was one of eight Caps to get contracts mailed to them today by their new boss. New team members getting forms were Bob Knudson and Gordon Hernandez, obtained from Salt Lake City, and Bill Andring, brought from San Francisco. Last year’s players due to return: Pitchers Dick Aubertin, Bob Snyder and Guldborg; first baseman Jim Wert, outfielder Bob Duretto.
