Calgary Having Difficulty Lining Up Ball Players

CALGARY, March 22—Walter Brock, busines manager of the Calgary Stampeders baseball club of the Western International League, says the club is returning the contract of pitcher Bob Bowles of the Pocatello, Idaho, club.
Bowles has refused to report to Stampeders and his contract is being returned for further consideration. While with Pocatello last season in the Class C Pioneer League, Bowles had a 9-6 record.
A report from playing manager Gene Lillard indicates that efforts to obtain players from Los Angeles Angels have fallen through.
