Wenatchee Funds Coming In

Baseball Drive Raises $9,000
WENATCHEE, Wash., Oct. 29, 1952—A baseball fans’ committee, raising funds to retain the Western International League franchise in Wenatchee, reported today it had $9,000 toward its $20,000 goal.
Al Libke, former Seattle, Hollywood and Cincinnati player, is chairman of the committee. He said a November 12 deadline had been set for the drive for the other $11,000.
A vaudeville show and rally are scheduled for the night of November 5.
Wenatchee has been a W.I.L. member since the league was formed in 1937.
