Frank Dasso Promoted

WENATCHEE, Sept. 24—Veteran pitcher Frankie Dasso was hired today as temporary business manager of Wenatchee’s financially-tottering Western International League baseball team.
Mayor Arthur H. Pohlman, president of the club, said Dasso would concentrate for the next two months on promotion and fund-raising efforts.
He said the team has a $16,000 deficit from this season’s operation. It drew only 55,000 fans at home and finished last in the pennant race.
League directors have scheduled a meeting in Seattle Friday amid reports that shifting of the franchise to Calgary and Edmonton, Alta., may be considered.
