Tedesco to Calgary

12th Player Signed
CALGARY, Feb. 4—Calgary signed its 12th player Wednesday for its first season in the Western International Baseball League.
The club announced the purchase of third baseman Joe Tedesco from Elmira, a Brooklyn farm club in the class A Eastern League.
Tedesco, 25, bats and throws right-handed, and brings to 12 the number of players owned by the Calgary club.

Stamps Obtain Third Baseman
CALGARY, Feb. 4—Calgary Stampeders of the Western International League have bought third baseman Joe Tedesco from Elmira, a Brooklyn farm club in the class “A” Eastern League. Tedesco, 25, brings to 12 the number of players owned by the Calgary ball club.

OAKS SIGN TWO ROOKIES
OAKLAND, Feb. 4—The Oaks today signed two more candidates from last week's baseball tryout school to farm club contracts.
Shelly Edwards, a 6-foot, 172-pound, 21-year-old outfielder who formerly played for Alameda High, put his signature to a Wenatchee (Western International League) agreement. Young Edwards bats left and throws right.
Leonard (Sonny) Santos, 19-year-old San Leandro pitcher, signed an Albuquerque (West Texas-New Mexico) contract.
